Polymer alloys and blends
Conductive polymers
Mixing determines the distribution of the conducting component in the matrix. The efficiency of a Dynamic Melt Mixer may allow
sufficient mixing of a matrix (e.g.: ABS) and an intrinsically conductive material, such as polyaniline or carbon black without
using an organic solvent or high concentration of the conductive component. Reduction of the concentration of the latter (reduction
of the percolation threshold) will contribute to cost reduction and improvement of the mechanical properties of the blend.
Fire retardant polymer compositions
The Dynamic Melt Mixer technology may allow relatively homogeneous mixing of various fire retardants in polymer matrices.
Therefore, high degree of fire resistance may be achieved with the incorporation of small amount of fire retardants, which
in turn will improve the mechanical properties of the material and lower the cost.
